Are you passionate about delivering exceptional service and creating safe, high-quality homes for customers? We’re looking for an assistant project manager to support the delivery of programmes addressing disrepair, condensation, damp, and mould (CDM). This role involves working closely with contractors, in-house teams, and other colleagues to ensure timely, effective solutions that meet high standards.
You’ll assist in managing all activities related to disrepair/CDM issues, ensuring services are delivered efficiently and to agreed targets. This includes monitoring contractor performance, managing budgets, and striving for cost-effective solutions while delivering exceptional customer outcomes. You’ll support post-inspections to ensure the quality of completed works and proactively review processes to improve service delivery.
Collaboration is key in this role, as you’ll develop strong working relationships with internal teams and external contractors, always keeping a focus on health and safety compliance and current legislation. You’ll contribute to monthly performance reports and promote cross-team working to streamline resolutions.
This role is available as a 12 month fixed term contract. You can be based from any of our main offices with regular home working available. The role requires a basic DBS check.
Key Skills and Experience Required
* Experience working within project management frameworks
* Strong understanding of construction or facilities management methods and defect remedies
* Proven experience managing contractors, sub-contractors, and in-house delivery teams
* Financial and budget management expertise
* Relevant trade qualification (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ) or equivalent experience
* Current Supervisor Site Construction Safety Certification or equivalent
* Formal qualification in project management or the built environment
* Full UK driving licence and ability to travel
* Strong IT and data analysis skills
* Flexible and reliable approach to work, including time and travel commitments.
