Our client, a reputable entity in the manufacturing sector, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Team Leader/CNC Machinist for a Temp to Perm role. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team and lead the milling section to ensure quality and efficiency in production. Key Responsibilities: Set and operate CNC milling machine tools. Setting of cutting tools, machine tool, and workpiece datums. Assess tool condition and maintain as necessary. Self-inspect own work in accordance with the planning layout and customer drawing. Manage daily quality and production requirements and performance issues. Provide training for new or temporary employees. Undertake return to work interviews, performance reviews, maintain discipline, ensure safe working practices, and maintain appropriate records. Liaise between your peer/work group and management regarding day-to-day problems. Hold meetings with the team and act on feedback. Maintain close liaison with the Operations Manager or his deputy regarding the improvement of production or handling techniques. Job Requirements: Experience in a supervisory role. Extensive milling experience. Proficiency in using CNC machines; Mazak machine tools experience is desirable, but not essential. Ability to produce high-quality, tight-tolerance components in a variety of materials. Strong understanding of quality and production management. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Ability to work effectively between different teams and management. Commitment to maintaining high safety standards and production efficiency.
