The role
This is a new role for the Academy and one in which you can really make your mark.
The HR & Operations Manager will be responsible for the efficient and effective management of all areas of our people management activity – recruitment, induction, employee wellbeing, safeguarding, absence management, performance management and professional development. We are looking for a strong HR generalist, ideally with experience in the education sector, who has a confident, solution focussed approach and is fully aligned with our Trust values of Respect, Integrity and Optimism. Our ideal candidate will have some experience of finance and resource management and be confident to lead those areas of the school operation – but we are looking for that as an ideal, don’t let it rule you out if this role appeals to you.
You will report directly to the Principal and be supported by the Trust central team who advise and guide across the Trust on HR, Finance, Estates, IT and Data. The school’s experienced HR Officer will report directly to you as will the Office Manager, Cover Manager and Catering Manager. They are competent line managers and will look to you for advice and guidance as you work together collaboratively.
The school is a founder member of the Halliard Trust, leaders in school improvement and providers of best-in-class training and development in education.
