Salary – £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, dependent on experience
Hours - Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week with flexible, hybrid working (after successful completion of probation)
Holiday – 25 days annual leave (excluding bank holidays) increasing by one day per each year of service (up to a maximum of 5 days)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Corporate Tax Assistant / Advisor in our Stanley office.
The purpose of this role is to maximize the GVA of our client base by providing high quality and timely “Tax Advisory” services. You will adopt a learning mentality and develop a strong rapport with clients, other departments, and Lead Advisors. You must be a professional but personable and upbeat communicator to promote strong client relationships.
You will join a dynamic tax team with a high-quality client base and rapidly gain responsibility whilst at the same time completing your qualifications with us.
Key responsibilities of a Corporate Tax Assistant / Advisor will include:
1. Ensure all clients are aware and meet corporation tax or other tax-related deadlines
2. Processing corporate tax returns
3. Carry out all corporate tax advisory service lines to a high quality and customer service level
4. P11D’s
5. Spot low risk, GVA linked tax advisory opportunities within our client base. You will support the Manager of Tax
6. Company secretarial duties / confirmation certificates
7. Work with Leadership team and colleagues on any ad-hoc assignments
8. Put forward business improvement ideas for all clients based on performance against projections
9. Contribute towards a continuous improvement culture by generating and implementing ideas via working groups
10. Carry out CPD & training to ensure staying ahead of the curve with new technology and business knowledge
11. Provide a warm, down to earth and personable service to a portfolio of clients
About you
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
1. Minimum of 3 years relevant experience within a practice background
2. Working towards ATT/ CTA qualification
3. Sound knowledge of corporate tax
4. Experience with accountancy systems such as CCH, Xero, Sage
5. Competent in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Office
6. Must be an efficient and personable communicator
7. Driven and ambitious
8. Strong organisational skills and high attention to detail
9. Must have own transport as our office is difficult to get to by public transport
