RJ McLeod is seeking a Planning Engineer to join our team based in Northern Scotland, supporting the planning and programme management of major infrastructure projects across our renewable energy, highways, and marine portfolio So, what are we looking for? You will be a proficient user of Primavera (P6), capable of tracking and reporting on the progress of all major projects under your management. Serving as the key interface between work packages and contractors, you will support the wider business by providing valuable updates and program impact analysis. To succeed, you’ll need excellent communication and analytical skills alongside: Experience in civil engineering projects, preferably in renewable energy infrastructure, highways, or marine construction Good working knowledge of NEC3/4 contracts from a planning perspective Experience with critical path analysis and schedule optimisation Experience in projects exceeding £2M You’ll also need to be able to work at pace. Our business moves quickly, and we need to keep up with the demand. Flexibility, agility, and resilience are key attributes for this role. Additional skills and experience that would enhance your application: Project Management or Planning qualification (APM or similar) Understanding of heavy civils construction techniques Knowledge of Scottish civil engineering sector Experience with earned value management Experience using Power BI or similar reporting tools Please note: Due to the nature of the location, a valid UK driving licence and the ability to travel to remote sites is required.
