Purpose of the role:
To competently provide advice to clients on Group Risk products (group life, group income protection and group critical illness) and Private Medical Insurance and similar products (such as cash plans and dental schemes), as set out within the Financial Conduct Authority’s (FCA) rules and the procedures of the organisation.

External: Clients and product providers
Skills & Knowledge:
* To hold a relevant appropriate qualification or be willing to work towards one
* Have detailed knowledge of the FCA and the record keeping requirements of the organisation.
General Responsibilities:
* Keep up to date with new products, technical or legislative changes within the marketplace
* Comply at all times with the Compliance procedures and the Training & Competence Scheme of the organisation
* Comply at all times with the requirements of the Financial Services & Markets Act 2000, and the FCA’s Senior Managers & Certification Regime
* Have awareness of FCA initiatives such as Consumer Duty
Specific Responsibilities:
* Providing advisory services to new and existing clients on Group Risk and Private Medical Insurance including renewals, rebrokes and technical queries (full administrative support will be given by the administration team)
* Opportunity to get involved with Group Personal Pension plans should the candidate wish to
* Manage relationships and provide ongoing advice to existing corporate clients, as required as well as create and maintain relationships with providers
* Identify and contact potential new corporate clients. Gather sufficient information and identify client needs
* Analyse information gathered and undertake sufficient research to make suitable recommendations, working alongside the corporate services admin as required
* Complete all supporting documentation in an accurate manner and in line with the compliance procedures of the organisation
* Ensure that the level of service, as agreed with each client, is delivered in a timely manner
* Liaise with professional connections with regard to existing clients, as required and liaise with existing and potential new connections in order to develop new client opportunities
* Attain and maintain competent status as defined by the FCA and organisation
* Maintain performance standards in accordance with those outlined in the Key Performance Indicators section of the Training & Competence scheme
* Via self-assessment and feedback, identify Continuing Professional Development (CPD) needs to maintain and enhance Competent status and undertake appropriate activity to meet those needs
* Any other ad hoc duties reasonable and appropriate to the position
