Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic nurse to join our friendly well established Paediatric Epilepsy Team. This is a band 7 role, however we would encourage applicants with experience and interest to apply for a band 6 development post. There will be upgrade to band 7 on completion of Paediatric Epilepsy Modules/ Courses, following a period of consolidation and assessment of competence. The Paediatric Epilepsy Service has a strong multi disciplinary team and welcome enthusiastic and motivated nurses who are passionate about providing excellent care to children, young people and their families. We are offering a permanent position working 37.5 hours per week. You will be expected to work across acute and community settings providing a service to cover 5 days Monday - Friday 8am - 6pm. Having a driving full clean driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential for this role. Main duties of the job Use specialist nursing skills, knowledge and expertise in the care and management of children and families affected by epilepsy, continually striving to improve standards of care. Work autonomously and collaboratively within the context of a multidisciplinary team to provide seamless, family centred, evidence-based epilepsy management.
