Job Description Summary:
This role will support and assist the Control Centre Manager with the supervision, training, and development of the Control Centre team, as well as participate in projects.
The role will also be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of wind assets across the UK, including the safety of in-house and external workers operating and maintaining the wind turbines and associated equipment.
This is a full-time position with a rotating shift pattern, covering core hours between 07:00 – 21:00 Monday to Friday and 08:00 – 16:00 on weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
* Monitor wind assets using SCADA systems, respond to faults and alarms appropriately, and communicate effectively with visitors and stakeholders.
* Maintain up-to-date safety documentation and work control records.
* Support configuration control by logging Engineering Change Requests and ensuring no unauthorized modifications.
* Perform operational control as the Operational Controller under Wind Turbine Safety Rules.
* Summarize and report on operational performance and KPIs, analyze wind asset performance, and escalate deviations from power curves.
* Retrieve and analyze energy export data, and process Renewable Obligation Certificate (ROC) claims.
* Respond to emergency calls, act as the first point of contact for safety incidents, and escalate as necessary.
* Assist with team training and development, create and improve control centre procedures, and manage shift staffing.
* Collaborate with the Business Information & Data Analyst to enhance reporting functions.
* Participate in projects such as life extension, performance improvement, and stakeholder meetings.
