For more information on Celanese, please visit www.celanese.com We are looking for an Electrical Maintenance Technician To support our team in Newport (Day role – Monday to Friday (40hrs)) • Safe preparation and execution of work and handover of electrical equipment. • Responding to plant outages and emergency breakdowns which may involve flexibility in working hours. • Using fault finding skills and techniques to solve problems including involvement in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) • Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on control panels and electrical installations. • Working to defined engineering standards and procedures. • Use of SAP based CMMS system to log & track works as well as management and ordering of parts / spares. • Minimum NVQ3 Electrical Maintenance Engineer (ONC / HNC Level 4 preferable) • BS 7671:2018 (18th Edition) would be advantageous but not essential. • Ideally a background in a chemical manufacturing environment with working knowledge of DSEAR and Hazardous Areas; CompEx certified would be advantageous but not essential. • Electrical fault finding with Programmable Logic Controllers (mostly Allen Bradley) • Basic bench fitting and workshop skills to support Mechanical Maintenance Team as required. • Working understanding of SCADA based plant communication systems. • Excellent communication and IT skills. • Excellent attitude, a self-starter with the ability to work with minimum supervision.
