CBRE Managed Services Ltd provide a 24/7 operational service delivery for all the M&E, Fabric and Grounds maintenance services covering 58 locations throughout Cambridgeshire and surrounding areas. This operational contract is managed by the Account Director and 2 x M&E Managers. This role will form part of the Cambridge NHS Trusts, Operational Support Team to support management and delivery of Trust related technical assurance services to achieve and exceed our customer expectations through meeting our KPI's, Service Level Agreements and Contractual obligations effectively and efficiently. Key Responsibilities: Manage and oversee assurance activities relating to the contract services to include but not limited to; maintain Statutory compliance as per the contract deliverables for example. Fire doors and Lifts inspections programme, Fire Life Safety Systems, Asbestos management, Pressure Systems and LOLER Statutory Inspections, Safe Systems of Work including the Authority to Work and Permit to Work processes, sub-contractor management and inspections, E-Logbooks and other relevant QA documentation in line with CBRE A-Z rules. To implement a fire door inspection programme across the contract property portfolio and to carry out the inspections in line with the requirements of the Fire Safety Reform Order and HTM05 Fire Safety. To devise, implement and manage the asbestos management requirements for the client property portfolio in line with the ACOP for Managing Asbestos. To ensure Safe Systems of Work processes are in accordance with CBRE Quality, Health & Safety rules and procedures and client requirements (or approved client system). Undertake annual planned reviews of asset data to ensure all new physical changes to the existing assets as a result of extra works and/or project programmes within the buildings, are recorded, documented and communicated to the Contract Support team to enable updates to the CAFM systems and PPM planners to be completed. Assist in the proactive development of policies and procedures in relation to asset management ensuring effective implementation and delivery of the service To provide appropriate professional and technical support to the operational team and thus ensure that the service delivered is fit for purpose, effective and that our customer's properties serviced by the contract are compliant with current legislation and standards. Interpret a range and variety of risk assessments, then in coordination with Colleagues and Customer leads, develop (and maintain an oversight on) multiple, prioritised action plans for the effective delivery of a range statutory compliance programmes, with the minimum of supervision. To support in providing cost information for chargeable and remedial works arising out of assurance surveys, audits and inspections. To maintain your Talent Coach profile; to ensure all required training is completed in time including e-learning and instructor lead courses, and to maintain your personal development plan. Provide regular hazard reporting for the site on a weekly basis Support the contract management in maintaining and updating site based QHSE and service records logbooks Supervising and monitoring of sub-contractors works whilst they are on site undertaking assurance activities. To arrange and provide holiday and sickness cover at short notice and be flexible in their working patterns. To ensure tasks as directed are completed with the appropriate H&S awareness/implementation. Any other task as directed by the account management team. Person Specification/Requirements: Experience of working within an NHS or Healthcare environment would be advantageous Demonstrable experience within a similar role Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with people of all levels of seniority Comprehensive understanding and applied knowledge across a range of Estates related compliance topics to include Fire Safety, Safe Water Systems, Asbestos Management, Confined Spaces, Medical Gas Pipeline Systems, Pressure systems or low voltage Electrical systems, with the ability to apply the knowledge acquired to a variety of audiences. Formal qualification for Fire Door assessments e.g. BMTRADA or LPCB is essential A Good level of understanding of Excel, Word & Internet Explorer, work order management systems and data bases to produce tables and reports as required. Ability to work under pressure when required with the desire to achieve and lead by example, an attention to detail and be a proactive communicator. Ability to Liaise with, manage and control external contractors and specialist consultants on statutory compliance matters providing appropriate direction ensuring deadlines are met. An IOSH qualification is considered essential for this role Demonstrate thorough knowledge of all building services; particularly fire safety, asbestos & asset management Demonstrate knowledge of QHSE statutory Compliance Diligent and pro-active Ability to prioritise and act on own initiative. Excellent organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
