About the Role We have an exciting opportunity for Front of House Manager (Catering) to join our friendly team based in Cheltenham. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 8.00 – 17.00 Responsibilities Manage the Front of House (FOH) team of staff to provide excellent levels of service and event management. Manage the workplace environment specifically including behaviours at work to accepted standards as set out within the G4S Values Liaise with the kitchen to ensure consistency in levels of service are maintained, and all relevant staff are up to date with event information. Identify, improve, and implement improvements required in FOH areas. Organise FOH cleaning schedules, audits, and their updates and/or remedial actions. Take an active role in communicating with users of the catering services, advising on menus, and event planning through emails, in person meetings and phone calls. Ensure the correct equipment and consumables required for Catering Outlets are available Supervise all aspects of the business making sure everything runs smoothly and looks up to the standards: service provided, client journey, catering orders, set ups, and cleanliness. Carry out tasks requested by the Catering Manager as and when required. Day to day input for operations ensuring continuous improvement and P&L targets are met. Ensure that all Supervisors, Head Chef, and their teams are constantly aware of the changing needs of their customers and adopt menus and style of service that meet those needs. Deal (in a timely manner) with any staffing and client issues Due to the nature of the establishment, Work within the Clients rules and regulations at all times. Deputising for the Catering manager in their absence The Ideal Candidate: Essential NVQ Level 1,2, and 3 in Catering, C&G equivalent or a proven level of experience. Level 3 Food safety Certification Literate and Numerate Knowledge of Microsoft word and excel 5 Years’ experience in a large commercial or Contract Catering Services Desire to lead and motivate a team Desirable IOSH Certificate in H&S Supervisory Qualification Experience In a similar sized catering operation.
