Our services on the MoD Housing contract have seen a significant amount of growth over recent years, and this is continuing as we start 2025! We have recently been awarded a brand new area across Aldershot to provide operational support in the preparation and maintenance of Service Family Accommodation throughout the area.
To support the brand new area, we are looking for an experienced Electrical QS / Electrical Supervisor to join the team and take the lead on all the electrical works being completed across the contract. You will ensure that the team are consistently working within the correct regulations and in an appropriate manner. This will include both reactive maintenance and void work across the properties. The electrical QS will act as the escalation point for any issues and will provide training, development and support where required.
Your responsibilities as Electrical Supervisor will include (but are not limited to):
* Supervise and oversee all electrical installations to ensure compliance with current regulations and standards.
* Carry out duties as a NICEIC Qualified Supervisor, validate and sign off NICEIC certification.
* Conduct regular site inspections and audits to monitor the quality of work and adherence to safety protocols.
* Provide technical guidance and support to the electrical team.
* Ensure all electrical work is completed to a high standard.
* Manage and maintain records of all electrical certifications and documentation.
* Lead training sessions for the electrical team to ensure everyone is updated on the latest industry standards and practices.
Experience Required:
* NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation including AM2 (or equivalent).
* City and Guilds 2391-52 testing and inspection, or equivalent.
* 18th Edition qualified.
* Ideally similar experience in a previous supervisory role.
* Excellent communication and time management skills.
* Strong leadership and communication skills.
* Problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and asset management systems.
* Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities to meet the business needs.
