Prospectus are excited to be working exclusively with a safety charity to help them recruit for an interim Head of Fundraising to join their team. As the UK s largest independent road safety charity, formed in 1956, the organisation spent more than 60 years making UK roads safer by improving driver and rider skills through coaching and education. The charity has over 77,000 members, all of whom have taken and passed an advanced test in a car, commercial vehicle or on a motorcycle.
This role is offered on a flexible 12-month part-time maternity cover contract basis paying a salary of £60,000 per annum pro rata with flexible hybrid and remote working arrangements at their Welwyn Garden City office.
The post holder will help implement an effective fundraising strategy and work in collaboration with the CEO and SLT to build existing income streams and develop innovative and effective plans to secure long term sustainable fundraising. They will be responsible for identifying, mapping, and developing a pipeline of potential donors and supporters across high value income streams with a focus on delivering against the charity s longer-term strategy for growth. The post holder will line manage an Individual Giving Manager and work with the broader team to ensure there are appropriate systems and processes in place to ensure fundraising activities and behaviours can be implemented in the most effective and timely way
They are looking for someone with demonstrable experience in a leadership level fundraising role designing and delivering a transformational strategic plan. They are looking for a candidate with a demonstrable track record of securing large scale funding from multiple sources and confident of working at a senior level externally. The ideal candidate will have excellent relationship management and communication skills and the ability to present to external audiences as well as internal stakeholders.
