A leading ground engineering consultancy firm in the UK is looking to recruit a Principal Geotechnical Engineer (heavy civils) with a complex design background that is looking to finesse their career within heavy civils for an award-winning independent design consultancy.
You will come in as a Principal Geotechnical Engineer (heavy civils) and have an opportunity to work on a wide range of heavy civils projects within the transportation and energy sector, from feasibility studies to detailed design and construction supervision.
The role as a Principal Geotechnical Engineer (heavy civils) will offer exposure across technical leadership on projects, leading on client engagement, assisting with business development, financial planning, and running internal workshops.
Specification | Principal Geotechnical Engineer (heavy civils)
1. Bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering or related field
2. Chartered MICE
3. At least 10 years of geotechnical design and analysis experience ideally within heavy civils, deep excavations with the use of temporary works.
4. Experience modelling using FE.
5. Ideally experience across ground treatment, dewatering, value engineering with an understanding of structures (will be beneficial).
6. Ambition to work for a smaller, more diverse consultancy within a fast-paced environment.
