Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Newcastle-Darlington. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing electrical maintenance services in RFM-Redcar-Cleveland council and ensuring the smooth operation of electrical systems in our commercial locations.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical power distribution systems and have experience in electrical testing. They will also have a proven track record of providing high-quality electrical maintenance services in a commercial setting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on electrical systems and equipment.
* Respond promptly to breakdowns and perform reactive maintenance tasks.
* Undertake minor installation tasks, including minor projects related to power supply, lighting, power distribution, motors, and pumps etc.
* Competent on BMS control systems and PAT tester
* Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical faults, ensuring timely repairs.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report findings.
* Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations.
* Ensure that the Facilities are maintained to the levels specified in the Performance Standards of the Project Agreement
* Undertake maintenance duties in such a manner as to support the objectives of the client and with respect for the dignity and privacy of the resident group
Requirements:
* Fully qualified with an NVQ Level 3 or City and Guilds in Electrical Installation.
* Possess an AM2 (Achievement Measurement 2) certificate.
* Experience in electrical power distribution systems, and preferred experience in electrical testing.
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
* Proven experience in electrical maintenance and repair in a commercial setting
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* A valid UK driver's license is essential, as this role involves travel between sites.
