This is an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Nurse Practitioner to support patients with urgent on-the-day care needs in the local community. This ANP role will support the General Practitioners and the Multi-disciplinary Team to deliver safe, effective and person-centred care to patients in a primary care setting. You may work in GP practices, visit residents in care homes or attend to patients in their own homes. There is also a commitment to the Four Pillars of Advanced Practice, allowing for the development of skills in education, mentoring, audit, leadership, and quality improvement. Previous Masters Level study with attainment of the Advanced Clinical Assessment and Non-Medical (V300) qualifications are desirable, though applicants without these qualifications will be considered. You will therefore be required to either; Be working in an Advanced Practice role and have undertaken MSC (level 11) Advance Practice studies to PG Dip level or equivalent. or Be an experienced nurse, educated to degree level, and willing to complete your MSC (level 11) Advance Practice studies to PG Dip level. Successful applicants without a PG Dip will be fully supported by the HSCP and provided with a clinical supervisor, study time and funding. Career development towards the PG Dip will be supported through a period of induction and training over a 12-24 month period, dependent on previous training/experience. This will be done under Annex 21. Please note that there will be no financial detriment associated with this. Applicants will require excellent communication skills and be able to work as a member of the wider Health and Social Care Team. You should have the ability to work autonomously, utilising their own initiative, clinical judgement and decision making to support the nursing workforce within the practices. This is an opportunity to join a dynamic team, with quality at the heart of all we do. You may, on occasion, be required to work in an area other than those to which they are allocated. NHS Scotland is reducing their full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
