Job Description:
An outstanding new job opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Deputy Matron – Paediatrics to work in a reputable, exceptional private hospital based in the South Kensington, London area. You will be working for one of the UK’s leading healthcare providers.
This private hospital offers treatment for both adults and children and is dedicated to providing world-class care to patients.
Minimum Requirements:
To be considered for this position, you must be qualified as a Registered Children’s Nurse with a current active NMC Pin.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage the ward/department, Team Leader, and clinical nurse specialists in assessing the clinical skills required to deliver a safe and quality service.
2. Lead on identifying deficits and implement programmes to address the issues.
3. Use knowledge and experience to work with the matron to drive up the standards of clinical care.
4. Provide strong leadership to teams and ensure senior clinical presence on the ward/unit.
5. Manage quality improvement initiatives to drive high-quality clinical care.
6. Investigate complex incidents and identify and implement corrective action.
7. Act as a change agent and innovator, promoting an effective change culture within nursing teams.
8. Work with the Matron in the financial management of the service, being aware of budgets and working within them.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
1. Evidence of significant clinical experience in the medical area and ability to function at the required level.
2. Knowledge of NMC Codes and guidelines and their implications for practice.
3. Management qualification or working towards obtaining one.
4. Experience of being involved in the implementation of change.
5. Experience managing clinical audits.
6. Experience of participating in the development, delivery, monitoring, and evaluating of training programmes with clinical and non-clinical staff.
The successful Deputy Matron will receive an excellent salary of £55,000 – £61,780 per annum. This exciting position is a permanent full-time role working 37.5 hours a week. In return for your hard work and commitment, you will receive the following generous benefits:
