Project Manager - Civils Contractor - MOD Projects
Role overview:
My client is a Civil Engineering Contractor that is part of a large international organisation.
They have long term framework contracts to maintain and improve several Ministry of Defence Facilities located predominantly in Surrey and Wiltshire at locations including Bulford, Larkhill, Tidworth and Aldershot.
The type of work that they undertake includes;
* Groundworks
* New roads
* Resurfacing works
* New hardstanding
* Kerbing and footpaths
* Drainage
* Small earthworks operations
* Reinforce concrete structures
Roles & Responsibilities:
Liaison with the client on Project details, specifications, timing, locations etc.
Provide up to date information on progress using Microsoft Project
Programme Planning resources from 10 regular contractors and suppliers
Site safety inspections
Carry out site inspections and surveys
Prepare quotations for annual projects and reactive work.
Update H & S Risk Assessments and Method Statements
Prepare point of work risk assessments
Prepare Traffic management plans for each site
Enter daily information onto client Authority To Proceed
Keep daily site records using SASETS on Tablet, (Daily Shift Briefing, Site Diary, Resources, Permit to Excavate etc)
Prepare monthly report for site meeting with client
Prepare O & M manuals for each of the six garrisons
Material Specifications for surfacing
Requirements:
Ideally educated to degree level in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or another relevant subject matter.
The Project manager will also need to have CSCS (Black or White card), NRSWA, SMSTS, First Aid.
Proficient using a laptop with Project, Excel, Word, Email etc.
