Shopify Developer and CRO Lead
ROLE SALARY:
£45 - 55k - based on experience

Boasting a dedicated team of 40+ staff and growing, participation in over 20+ major UK events annually, a store in Manchester’s bustling Northern Quarter, and official footwear supplier to some of the UK’s finest sports teams. ROLE OVERVIEW:
Reporting to the Chief Digital Officer (CDO), the Shopify Developer and CRO Lead will own the technical side of LANX’s e-commerce experience. You’ll be responsible for creating a user-friendly, high-performing Shopify site that aligns with our brand’s ethos of quality and practicality. You’ll need strong development skills and the ability to communicate technical insights in plain English, helping to drive conversions and enhance the customer journey.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Tech Expert & Integration Pro
* Develop intuitive, responsive interfaces using HTML, Liquid, CSS, and JavaScript.
* Customise and enhance Shopify themes to improve the user experience and align with LANX’s brand.
* Integrate third-party applications and plugins smoothly to add functionality without compromising site speed or design.
* Optimise server-side logic with Node.js to ensure site performance and reliability.
Collaborative Coder
* Work closely with UI/UX designers to maintain design integrity while implementing functional improvements.
* Build and manage custom Shopify apps or plugins to meet specific business needs, aligning with e-commerce best practices.
Shopify Wizard
* Handle all technical aspects of Shopify+ Dev working with our UX designer.
* Test new features and promptly resolve any bugs to maintain a seamless shopping experience.
Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO) Lead
* Drive CRO initiatives to boost conversion rates, experimenting with A/B testing and other CRO techniques.
* Use analytics to gain insights into user behaviour, making data-driven recommendations to improve site performance.
* Regularly report on CRO results, providing actionable insights for the e-commerce and marketing teams.
Collaboration Master
* Collaborate effectively with internal teams, sharing technical knowledge and offering insights on feasibility and best practices.
* Communicate project updates and technical recommendations to stakeholders clearly and constructively.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
* Worked in consumer goods, fashion, online ecommerce for at least 7+ years
* 7+ years’ experience in e-commerce dev, ideally in fashion, lifestyle, or retail.
* Solid knowledge of Shopify APIs, Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Node.js.
* Familiar with version control systems (e.g., Git) and adept at debugging.
* Strong grasp of e-commerce and user behaviour principles.
* Excellent communication skills, both technical and layman-friendly.
* Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll work closely with the E-Commerce Lead, CDO and UX Designer.

WORKING DAY & HOURS:
* Full time
* Monday - Friday: 8:30am - 5pm
PLACE OF WORK:
* LANX HQ, Whalley, BB7 9YE
* Remote working not available in this role
ANNUAL LEAVE:
* Permitted 28 days annual leave per year
* Permitted a maximum of 5 days of annual leave in October each year
* Due to an exceptionally busy trading period, not permitted to take annual leave in November, December and the first 2 weeks of January
* There may be a Christmas shut down in December for all staff, for which annual leave must be used, dates tbc
* Please note bank holidays are regarded as normal working days at LANX - however staff may request these as annual leave
MUST WORK:
* Annual Sample Sale Weekend - usually March, date tbc
* 2 additional days around Black Friday - usually end of Nov
* For the above additional days annual leave will be granted, or you can be paid 1.5 your normal day rate
