Job Description
As Finance Analyst in the Business Planning & Treasury team, you'll support the development and project management of Heathrow's Business Plan. You will gain experience in various workstreams including annual budget cycles, people modelling, and long-term modelling.
Working with a Finance Manager, you will help define, shape, and influence key strategic choices and decisions supporting Heathrow's performance - both short term on annual business plans/budgets and medium to long term through a regulatory or masterplan lens.
In this 12-month FTC, you will focus on delivering the single source of the truth for all business planning activities, driving seamless integration and close partnership with stakeholders across Heathrow. Collaboration, governance, processes, and transparency are the foundations to the team's success.
Responsibilities
1. Operating Heathrow's modelling tools, running scenarios and providing data insight to support strategic decisions.
2. Supporting Heathrow's annual and long-term planning cycle and off-cycle requests for Business Planning Insight.
3. Engaging with other teams across Heathrow to source, review, and prepare inputs for financial model updates.
4. Record, evidence, and quantify all assumptions, ensuring all models are fully documented, updated, and aligned, supporting continuous model improvements and ensuring governance is in place.
5. Internal and external information disclosures - synthesising complex information to produce high-quality reports and presentations that deliver a simple message.
Qualifications
1. Previous Financial Modelling experience including operating and interrogating Excel-based models.
2. Previous Project Management experience including good attention to detail, being proactive with the ability to anticipate the next move.
3. An analytical mindset with excellent eye for detail, diligent, ability to solve problems, and monitor compliance.
4. Excellent interpersonal & communication skills, with proven ability to engage, network & influence senior internal/external stakeholders.
Ideally, you'll also have:
1. Advanced Financial Modelling experience including designing and building financial models.
2. Advanced Excel user.
3. Finance Qualification: Part-Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
Salary: Up to £65,000 per annum + Bonus & Benefits
