Cadwgan Surgery are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and highly motivated practice nurse to join our forward thinking and supportive team. The surgery is located in North Wales, by the coast. The A55 is a 3-minute drive away providing excellent links to Snowdonia and Chester.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced practice nurse with chronic disease specialities, but training will be provided as needed.
Main duties of the job
The role of the practice nurse includes but is not limited to:
1. Treatment room duties such as wound care and injections
2. COPD reviews
3. Asthma reviews
4. Diabetes reviews
5. Cervical screening
6. Child and adult vaccinations
7. Contraception advice and reviews
About us
We are a large practice of 12,000 patients. The team includes GPs, clinical pharmacists, nurses, health care assistants, receptionists, secretaries, and administration staff. We also have support from other members of the trust who visit the practice weekly such as occupational therapists, audiologists, and midwives.

Job Summary:
The postholder will be directly accountable to the lead nurse and will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care in the surgery. The postholder will be expected to work collaboratively with the Practice nursing team, General Practitioners and other agencies to provide clinically effective care.
Key Responsibilities
1. General Management: Delivery of care to meet the patient's needs while considering patient autonomy. Participate in the PDR process annually, annual audits, and comply with practice policies.
2. Caseload Management: Assist in delivering holistic care, provide skilled nursing care, and ensure accurate record keeping.
3. Leadership: Support and supervise junior staff and promote reflective practices within the team.
4. Training and Education: Identify training needs and ensure continued personal professional development.
5. Resources: Assist with maintenance stock control of nursing supplies.
