Maintenance Operative Location: Crayford Salary: £30,000 per year. Hours: Monday Friday, 7am 4pm. Job type: Full-time, Permanent Bridge Recruitment is helping one of our well-established clients recruit for an experienced Maintenance Operative role to join their ever-expanding team. You will undertake reactive maintenance tasks to high quality standards including plumbing, joinery & carpentry, with painting & decorating where necessary. Within this role you will be reporting to the Manufacturing Manager. Responsibilities of the Maintenance Operative: Responsible and accountable for all maintenance Responsible to keep the outside area clean, neat and tidy at all times. Responsible to have the outside waste disposed of responsibly that collects in the area at the side of the building. Allocate an area with proper signage, etc. Responsible to put together an asset care management system to ensure our equipment is well maintained through a PM system. Responsible to introduce and maintain a job card system for any and all maintenance tasks required in the business. Responsible to ensure all major equipment has there required maintenance from 3rd parties on time and planned in properly. Responsible to lead tasks associated with factory renovations, etc. Maintain key relationships with sub-contractors where assistance is required in the factory to carry out jobs that are not within the Maintenance Operative qualifications i.e. electrical work, etc. Responsible to keep in order the ad hoc systems such as the alarm system, fire alarm system, air conditioners, lighting, etc. Moving furniture and heavy items across the buildings. Maintenance checks on machinery and report faults accordingly Responding to health and safety matters appropriately. Undertake project work as required. Carry out PAT testing/inspections. Undertake any other reasonable tasks Requirements of the Maintenance Operative: You must be able to take instruction, not only from your direct manager but relatedauthority levels in order to get the job done. Ability to build good rapport with all departments. Have a driving licence Excellent communication and organisation skills. You must be able to work on your own initiative. The ability to read manufacturing general assembly drawings. Must have excellent attention to detail. Computer literate Forklift experience would be preferred but not essential.
