The ideal candidate will spearhead a team of Civil Engineers, fostering the growth of new clients and commissions while promoting organic development. The Civil Engineering team engages in a diverse array of projects, covering sectors such as renewable energy, industrial, commercial, residential, and infrastructure.
With a solid reputation among clients, the team manages a comprehensive workstream that encompasses 3D modeling, earthworks, highways design, and drainage and flood risk assessments. Additionally, they are responsible for preparing technical reports throughout the planning and construction phases.
Key Responsibilities
1. Day-to-day management of the Civil Engineering Team, including workload coordination and budget management.
2. Leading business development planning for the team.
3. Client liaison and management.
4. Developing opportunities with other teams that have complementary specialist skills.
5. Project management of multi-disciplinary projects.
6. Providing updates to the group manager.
Required Qualifications and Experience
1. A degree in Civil Engineering.
2. Chartered Engineer status with the ICE (MICE or FICE).
3. Strong technical proficiency with excellent report writing skills.
4. Proven track record in business development and client relationship building.
5. Experience leading a team, including staff development and mentoring.
6. Expertise in highway design to UK national standards.
7. Drainage design expertise, including residential and flood alleviation projects.
8. Strong understanding of UK health and safety legislation.
9. Experience in oversight and quality management of AutoCAD drawings.
10. Effective project management skills.
11. A full UK driving license.
