As we scale across the South West and beyond, were looking for a high-performing Sales Director to take our sales operation to the next level. We were the first housebuilder to deliver a Zero Bills development in partnership with Octopus Energy.
Role Overview
As Sales Director, youll be responsible for the full sales function across all Verto developments leading a team of in-house salespeople and managing a network of external estate agents. You will set the sales strategy, drive performance across teams, and ensure exceptional customer experience throughout the buying journey. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, youll play a pivotal role in driving revenue, shaping the customer journey, and ensuring Verto maintains its position as the market leader in sustainable, design-led homes.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Management
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 10 sales consultants
Set clear KPIs, track performance, and implement coaching plans to hit and exceed targets
Build a strong, motivated, high-performing sales culture across the team
Sales Strategy & Execution
Define and deliver the sales strategy for Vertos growing portfolio of residential developments
Develop sales forecasts, pricing strategy, and go-to-market plans for each new site
Work closely with Marketing, Product, and Construction teams to align sales with wider business objectives
Agent & Partner Management
Oversee relationships with external estate agents and channel partners
Set standards and expectations for third-party representation of the Verto brand
Conduct regular performance reviews and manage territory coverage
Customer Journey
Champion a seamless customer experience from first enquiry to final handover
Refine the end-to-end sales process to ensure consistent, premium service
Be the voice of the customer gather insights and feedback to inform product development and marketing
Reporting & Analysis
Provide regular sales reports and insights to the board
Monitor market trends, competitor performance, and pipeline data to identify risks and opportunities
Own the CRM and sales reporting infrastructure
What Were Looking For
Proven experience in a senior residential property sales role ideally at Sales Director or Head of Sales level
Strong leadership skills with experience managing high-performing teams
Demonstrable success in driving sales strategies and delivering results in a target-driven environment
Experience managing relationships with estate agents and third-party sales partners
Commercially astute, data-led, and customer-obsessed
Passionate about sustainability, design, and the future of housing
Excellent communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
