About Yearbook Machine We're a small team of creative technologists who have built an online system for schools, universities and other groups to collaboratively create printed memory books. Used by many of the UK's top schools, our platform now serves organisations in over 30 countries worldwide. Everything is designed and built in-house, ensuring a cohesive, high-quality product at every step. Our offices are in Islington, just north of Shoreditch Park, in London. About the role We’re just entering our busiest period of the year, and during the next few months we will create yearbooks for hundreds of schools and other groups. During this period, we need a Design Production Assistant to help us with the production of yearbook designs for our customers. This means operating our systems, to create yearbook proofs for customers and print files to be sent to our printers. The role is computer-based and will involve using the Adobe Creative Suite software including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop. We do not require you to already be an expert with these tools as we will train you in what is required, but some degree of existing familiarity would be helpful. This is an interesting and rewarding job, providing an opportunity to be involved with creating a meaningful product, and to learn valuable software skills. Towards the end of the placement, as our busy season winds down, there will also be opportunities to get involved in other areas of our business, such as print design and software design. Requirements: The main requirement for this role is to be a fast learner with good attention to detail.
