A vacancy has become available within the Orthopaedic Department.
We are looking for a hardworking, reliable person to join our team. The successful person will need experience in a patient centred/customer service environment and demonstrable administration skills. The position is 37.5 hours per week.

Main Duties of the Job
The purpose of this post is to provide a comprehensive administrative service within the Division of Surgery. The post holder's main duties will include planning, organising, directing, and coordinating the work of the department. The Pathway Co-Coordinator will be expected to work with the minimum of supervision. They will be able to demonstrate flexibility and use their own initiative to carry out duties in such a way as to make a direct and positive contribution to the organisation, thus enabling the Consultant and his/her team to utilise their time efficiently and effectively. The post holder will provide a confident professional service to all patients and their parents, whilst supporting them throughout their pathway of care. It is vital that confidentiality be maintained at all times. The post holder must adhere to Trust Policies and Procedures at all times.
Person Specification
* At least two years' experience as a medical secretary, AMSPAR Diploma or equivalent qualification.
* Demonstrate the ability to organise own duties and prioritise tasks within a busy team environment.
* Proficiency in information systems, e.g. word processing packages, spreadsheets, databases, patient administration systems, email, etc.
* BTEC or equivalent level of knowledge on a range of Trust policies and management procedures, requiring experience or ongoing further development/training, e.g. Team Leading & Management.
* Experience of conducting personal development plans.
* NHS Experience.
