We need a confident and knowledgeable SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive school in Warrington. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference to the education and development of children with additional needs.
You will primarily provide tailored support to a child with additional needs, including autism (not yet formally diagnosed). Beyond this, you will contribute to group and individual activities, learning and play sessions, as well as assist in the classroom's daily running by preparing resources, conducting assessments, and managing behaviour.
- Deliver specific support and interventions across various curriculum areas.
- Work 1:1 with children, focusing on their learning and development.
- Prepare classroom resources and maintain learning environments.
- Conduct assessments and record developmental progress.
- Support children during learning and play activities, both indoors and outdoors.
- Assist with the children's daily routines and encourage independence.
- Experience: Previous experience working in a UK secondary school or early years setting.
- Qualifications: A relevant qualification such as Level 2 Supporting in Early Years, Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools, an Education Studies degree, or a Psychology degree.
- Training: Up-to-date Safeguarding and Prevent training (issued in the past 12 months). Free online training is available via Prospero if required.

An Enhanced DBS certificate on the update service or willingness to apply for one (cost £45.80).
Two professional references covering the past two years.
