Leading Arborists in a Supervisory Role
Location: Within commuting distance of Bury St Edmunds and Cambridge.
Estimated Salary: £40,000 per annum based on industry standards for the region.
Contract Type: Full-time, permanent position available immediately.
Benefits Package: 28 days annual leave with increments up to 33 days after 10 years' service. Contributory pension scheme. All necessary company clothing and personal protective equipment provided. Overtime paid at 1.5 times the agreed hourly rate.
This is an exceptional opportunity for a skilled and experienced arborist supervisor to join our team at S.P. Landscapes & Tree Contractors Ltd as a lead figure in our operations. Reporting directly to our senior management team, you will play a key role in overseeing the work of our arborists and ensuring the highest level of quality and safety standards are maintained across all projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Serve as a technical expert and provide guidance to junior arborists on best practices and safe working methods.
* Conduct site assessments and risk evaluations to identify potential hazards and implement mitigating measures.
* Maintain accurate records of job progress, time spent, and materials used, contributing to efficient project planning and budgeting.
* Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of services and effective communication with clients.
* Participate in training and development initiatives to enhance your skills and stay updated on industry advancements.
Requirements and Qualifications:
* Proven experience as an arborist supervisor or similar leadership role in the tree care industry.
* Demonstrated expertise in arboriculture, including knowledge of tree species, growth patterns, and pruning techniques.
* Strong understanding of health and safety protocols, with a track record of promoting a culture of safety within your team.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse group of staff members.
* Ability to analyze complex situations, think critically, and make informed decisions that align with company objectives.
