As the Head of Compliance your responsibilities and duties will include: Undertaking the Senior Manager Function for Compliance Oversight Act as Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO), providing direction in this area for the rest of the company Acting as Complaints Officer and dealing with complaints in accordance with Complaints Policy and procedures Keeping up to date with all relevant laws, regulations, and best practice Developing policies and procedures in line with legal and regulatory requirements Reviewing and updating procedures to reflect changes in legislation and the business Educating employees not only on relevant laws, regulations, and best practice, but also on the implications of non-compliance Delivering compliance monitoring activities, including regular testing, thematic and ad hoc reviews to test compliance with regulation/legislation and delivery of fair customer outcomes Where issues are identified, recording the issue and following up with senior management, including conducting root cause analyses and recommending appropriate mitigating actions, with plans for tracking through those actions to completion Creating and maintaining all required records, including breaches, complaints, operational risk MI and KPIs, as appropriate Drafting and issuing formal reports to the business, including periodic reports to the Board as required Reviewing and maintaining compliance training requirements Maintaining effective interactions with and reporting as required into the FCA and other regulatory bodies. Responsible for overseeing data protection strategy and implementation and ensuring compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) requirements Maintaining records of all data processing activities Essential Skills and Competencies of the Head of Compliance are: Previous experience within the Property lending space e.g. Residential/BTL/Portfolio BTL Ability to make decisions on behalf of the business re compliance Strong stakeholder management as you will need to educate all stakeholders on the compliance regulations Strong knowledge of the FCA Regulations Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with Innovation For more information please apply now
