Job Summary
The Reproductive Technologist participates in the provision of laboratory services for diagnostic andrology, under the guidance of Senior Andrologist, and according to all relevant professional Codes of Conduct. The Reproductive Technologist maintains full and proper records in compliance with prevailing legislation, as well as participating in data analysis and audit.
The post holder will be expected to routinely demonstrate clinical judgement on a range of presenting clinical facts or scenarios, requiring analysis and comparison/selection of management options. Aside from formal training provision, clinical supervision and mentoring will be accessible during the normal schedule of the working day.
The post holder will also be required to use scientific/analytical skills within a role supporting audit and development activity within the service.
The post holder will work to locally and nationally agreed protocols and work closely with qualified staff and senior members of staff.
Main duties of the job
1. Diagnostic Semen analysis/ post vasectomy analysis.
2. Lab QC/ QA.
3. Preparation of reports.
4. Audit.
5. To participate in the efficient running of the laboratory.
