Production Manager We are looking for a Production Manager Do you have the skills and experience we need? Reporting directly into the BCW Engineering Operations Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for operational provisions within the units including customer delivery performance, resource management of direct lines, HSE deployment, performance management and reporting, training and competency and to help drive a positive working environment for all employees. Role Objective Management of Business Unit production provisions including resource management, productivity, producibility, hardware maintenance and monitoring to BMS requirements. Production Planning of Business Unit to customer / internal schedule requirements to achieve KPI targets. Manage and lead the Business Unit to achieve safety targets including accident prevention & near misses Manage and lead the business unit to achieve internal and external quality KPIs Manage and lead the business unit to achieve OEE KPI target of 80% OEE Efficiency. Manage and resource the business to achieve absence rates and direct headcount KPIs. Lead the business unit in RCCA and continually improvement activities in reaction to production performance issues. Specific Responsibilities Ensure effective production planning, with adequate manning levels to achieve internal and customer schedule requirements. Lead the business unit in meeting HSE safe working and quality standards and targets defined. Management of production performance management tools and reporting of deviations and escalations including OEE, SQCDIP Level I - III and SICs. Manage and lead the business unit to meet business tactical and strategic metrics in accordance with customer and BMS requirements. Manage and lead the production team resource management process including performance appraisals, objective definition departmental and individual, planned and unplanned absences as well as resourcing levels to meet business budget and performance targets. Management and lead the production team skills and competency to ensure required skill levels and available for all functions within the business unit. Drive and lead improvement activities in line with business one plan maturity assessment to eliminate wastes, increase OEE performance and reduce quality rates. Monitor and measure business unit performance in accordance with KPI and performance metrics. Drive positive change in culture within the manufacturing environment, promoting the Groups values of One team, Innovation, and Proud. Supporting a productive and positive work environment. Problem Solving Support the business unit support functions and shift leaders when investigating issues and completing continual improvement activities. Lead investigation into production delivery and quality issues with robust problem-solving techniques and resourcing. Self-Management Time effective management for shift attendance and planned overtime. Self-compliance to Business Management System requirements and standard processes. Relationship Management Maintain positive relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure business unit targets and objectives are achieved. Understanding of HSE & Quality Principles Qualifications and Experience Levels: GCSE Level A-E / NVQ Level 2 - 3 / BTEC National Diploma Level 3 Higher National Certificate Level 3 Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Experience as a Production leader or manager is desired.
