We have an opportunity to join us as Assistant Director of People and Culture. This role is pivotal to help us shape our organisational culture. We are seeking an exceptional communicator who is self-motivated, solutions-driven and aligned with Linkage’s missions and values.

About the role
This is a senior role within the Trust, responsible for leading the People & Culture team, which includes Staff Development, Payroll & Benefits, Recruitment and Employee Relations. You will be responsible for:
* Supporting the Chief Executive in developing and delivering HR strategies that foster an inclusive, high-performing workplace culture and promote Linkage as an employer of choice in the sector.
* Providing strategic leadership across the Charity on all HR related processes including employee engagement, diversity and inclusion, and organisational development.
* Leading the HR team to ensure the charity attracts, retains, and develops the best talent to deliver quality HR to all employees across the various Linkage locations and services to support those with learning disabilities and autism.
* Delivering all HR activity throughout the employment life cycle, including recruitment, induction, retention, employment contracts, HR policy development, key HR processes, HRIS, performance management, a broad spectrum of employee relations issues and staff development.
About you

* FCIPD qualified or minimum MCIPD/degree equivalent educated
* 10 years plus experience in NFP sector or public services
* Familiarity with CQC or regulated environments with safeguarding controls
* 5-7 years leadership experience
* Financially literate with business acumen
* Capable of contributing across the spectrum of discussions as part of the executive leadership team
* Exceptional communication skills and ability to liaise effectively with a broad spectrum of people demonstrating positive listening skills and empathy for those with learning challenges
* Organised and used to creating both HR strategies and implementation plans
* Capable of building trusted close working relationships with senior leaders including the CEO
