Position: Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Exeter or Bristol with hybrid working available
Salary: £50-65k (Neg DOE), car/allowance and excellent benefits package
Rate: £450-500 per day (inside IR35)
Our Client: An integrated design and build solution provider operating in the water sector with over 1,000 staff across eight regional centres, supporting long-term water sector frameworks in joint ventures and alliances.
The Role: You will report directly to the Commercial Manager and take responsibility for the Commercial Management of project(s), including a desalination plant.
Responsibilities:
1. Quantity surveying duties in respect of managing projects and work packages
2. Liaise with design, construction, and supply chain teams to capture, analyze, and control costs
3. Collaborate with the client to ensure business requirements are met
4. Manage the main contract ensuring contractual notices and correspondence are identified and raised as necessary
5. Preparation and issuance of subcontract documentation
6. Assist in the management and performance of subcontractors
7. Manage the preparation and agreement of applications for payment
8. Prepare project cost & value reports, budgets, and forecasts
9. Assist in the management and development of junior commercial staff
Experience:
1. Degree or equivalent
2. Working towards or have chartered membership of a recognized institution
3. Experience in utilities/civil engineering/MEICA sectors
4. NEC3/4 Experience
5. Experience of managing and developing an individual or small team (desirable)
