Working with and leading a team to deliver active travel for Midlothian Council this role requires a reactive individual who can adapt to change quickly in a fast-moving environment. Overseeing such critical functions as safe routes to school, bikeability and school crossing guides - this list is not exhaustive
Experience of staff management, report writing, and financial management is essential as is the ability to work closely with a wide range partners such as schools, parent groups and elected members.

Essential:
Educated to SQCF level 7 (HNC level or equivalent technical/professional qualification) in a subject appropriate to their area of responsibility; or can demonstrate significant relevant experience in a local authority of comparable size and complexity.
Experience of staff supervision, IT systems used in an office environment, project management and financial responsibility.
Clear evidence of commitment to continuing professional development.

Based on you working 36 hours over 52 weeks per year the minimum actual salary for this position is £36,311.02 per annum.
