Facilities Assistant

The ideal candidate will understand facilities support, maximum compliance, and health and safety protocols. With a focus on efficiency and minimising disruptions, the Facilities Assistant will play a key role in maintaining a safe and productive work space for all employees.
Responsibilities for Facilities Assistant
Control and escort contractors within the facility, ensuring adherence to all safety protocols
Utilise ticket management systems and HSE software to track and address facility issues
Utilise negotiation skills to manage hire car bookings and other facilities-related services
Assist with on-call support for out-of-hours work, prioritising and addressing urgent facility matters
Conduct fire alarm testing and support audit action compliance to maintain a safe and compliant environment
Manage the functions of the reception desk in the event of the absence of others, providing a welcoming and professional environment for all visitors
Qualifications and experience required for Facilities Assistant
Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and compliance
IOSH
Understand the permit-to-work system
Experience working in a highly regulated environment
Experience with facilities support and maintenance within a corporate environment
Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
Experience with ticket management systems and HSE software is a plus
Prior experience in a facilities-related role, including reception desk management, is preferred
