About the Role:
Brookthorpe Hall School is a new independent specialist day school catering for pupils with a wide range of needs, SEMH/ASD/Complex trauma. Our dedicated team works together to ensure successful outcomes for our students.
We are seeking an experienced SEN Teacher to join our close-knit team and help deliver an outstanding curriculum, motivate pupils, and achieve positive results.
The successful candidate will have experience working with pupils who have complex learning needs, including autistic spectrum disorder or pupils with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties.
Job Summary and Duties:
As an SEN Teacher at Brookthorpe Hall School, you will be responsible for delivering fun educational based learning tailored to each pupil's needs. Your duties will include teaching a varied range of subjects, preparing and planning lessons, and writing individual education plans.
You will also build relationships with all students, creating an environment that promotes their interest and participation in their education.
Key Skills Required:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status
- Experience teaching a range of subjects, delivering teaching at a good or outstanding level
- Knowledge of current education issues related to practice, process, and curriculum
- Interest in working within an SEN setting, supporting pupils with challenging behaviour (SEMH/ASD)
