Job Description
To support the Volunteer Development Officer in Health and Social Care Moray, in the co-ordination, recruitment and support of volunteers.
Responsibilities
1. Support the development and provision of a high standard of volunteering in HSCM.
2. Promote a culture within HSCM where volunteers feel valued, informed and appreciated, and support the delivery of a programme of activities/events to recognise volunteer contributions.
3. Support the development of the culture of volunteering in HSCM.
4. Liaise with volunteers to support service delivery that enables people to live independently in their own homes for longer.
The Individual
1. Experience of working across different sectors and developing links with partners and agencies.
2. Relevant qualification e.g. Higher National Certificate, SVQ level 4, or equivalent relevant experience.
3. Experience in administrative and IT skills (MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and an ability to maintain records and produce clear written and oral reports.
4. Willingness to be a supportive team player.
5. Good organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask, plan and prioritise your workload.
6. Excellent communication skills, including networking with both internal and external partners. Understanding of volunteering and what motivates volunteers.
7. Ability to recruit, supervise and support volunteers.
8. Appreciation and acceptance of, and commitment to the importance of confidentiality and data protection.
9. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
10. Ability to motivate self and others.
11. Calm, confident and friendly manner.
12. Demonstrate respect for other people with different backgrounds and opinions. Willingness to accept direction/delegation.
13. Committed to promoting equality and diversity.
14. You will be expected to travel between various work locations when required to meet operational needs of the service. Due to the rural nature of Moray this is normally undertaken by use of a car.

Starting Salary: £25,692.55 pro rata
Hourly Rate: £13.63 per hour
Hours: 18.25 hours per week
