Head of SEN Alternative Provision Northampton Salary - £40,000-£55,000 permanent/Full Time Teaching Personnel have an exciting opportunity to work with an outstanding school based in Northampton. The school are looking for a dedicated Head of SEN Alternative Provision to join there team. Candidate Specific: Hold a teaching qualification (QTS/QTLS) National Award for SEN Co-ordination / NPQ for SENCOs (or be in first 3 years of a SENCO role) Degree or equivalent. NPQSL and/or NPQH (desirable) A highly motivated, energetic, and enthusiastic person who is approachable and promotes positive relationships and has high expectations. Ability to effectively manage student discipline and have a commitment to a high level of pastoral care Proven experience working collaboratively with parents, community organizations, and stakeholders to support students with diverse and challenging needs. Knowledge of equality of opportunity, safeguarding, child protection and inclusion issues and how they can be addressed effectively in schools with high levels of vulnerable children Ability to quickly identify and address challenges faced by students, ensuring appropriate follow-up and support for their individual needs. To be able to communicate clearly and persuasively, both orally and in writing, with a diverse range of audiences, including children, parents and carers, governors, and colleagues Experience teaching across the secondary age range, with a proven track record as a creative and adaptable Head of SEN who inspires and motivates students. Familiarity with virtual learning environments is desirable.
