We have an opportunity for you as a Civil Enforcement Officer who plays a key role in ensuring traffic is flowing and enforcement of parking restrictions. Main duties include:- To patrol car parks and public roads to ensure that all vehicles are parked in accordance with the traffic regulation orders. To check all types of pay & display tickets or permits for validity. To issue penalty charge notices, also fixed penalties, and record incident reports. To ensure that all car park signage and equipment is maintained and report and record any defects to signs and lines on and off street. To act as the public face of the council and give correct information when asked a question by a member of the public. The post holder will be required to work outside in all weathers. Knowledge and experience required to fulfil the role include, but are not limited to:- Experience of a frontline customer service role. Keep calm under pressure and act as an ambassador for CDC. Good understanding of parking regulations and the legal requirements regarding the issuance of penalty charge notices. Ability to use all types of IT handheld devices. This post requires officers to walk and carry equipment throughout a shift, the post holder must have the ability to meet the physical requirements of the post.
