MFL Graduate Cover Supervisor – Full-Time Role

Contract: Full-time, starting after Easter until the end of the academic year
Pay: £419.25 - £500 per week
Teaching Personnel is seeking an enthusiastic and confident Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Graduate to join a Good Ofsted-rated secondary school in Levenshulme as a Cover Supervisor. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for a graduate looking to gain valuable classroom experience before pursuing a career in teaching.
The Role:
As an MFL Graduate Cover Supervisor, your primary responsibility will be to supervise classes in the absence of the teacher, ensuring that students remain engaged in their learning.
Your key duties will include:
* Delivering pre-planned lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, predominantly in MFL subjects such as French, Spanish, or German.
* Managing classroom behaviour and creating a positive and productive learning environment.
* Supporting students with their understanding of language concepts, vocabulary, and grammar during lessons.
* Encouraging participation in speaking, listening, reading, and writing activities in the target language.
* Providing students with clear instructions, ensuring they remain on task, and reporting on their progress to teaching staff.
* Covering lessons in other subjects when required.
* Assisting with intervention sessions or language support activities to enhance student progress.
The Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for an MFL Graduate who:
* Holds a degree in French, Spanish, German, or another language-related subject.
* Has a strong interest in education and supporting students in their academic progress.
* Demonstrates excellent communication skills and the confidence to manage a classroom independently.
* Can adapt to delivering lessons in various subjects when required.
* Has previous experience working with young people in an educational, mentoring, or support capacity (desirable but not essential).
* Is proactive, organised, and committed to fostering a positive learning environment.
* Understands safeguarding practices (training will be provided if necessary).
