Maintenance Electrician
Location: Covering South Wales and Bristol
Salary: £33,000 - £38,000
Progression: Opportunity to progress to Senior Maintenance Electrician

The successful candidate will benefit from exposure to a variety of works on all elements of domestic electrics, smart home, and renewable technologies. The successful applicant will cover South Wales and the Bristol branch, visiting occupied homes to investigate and fix faults. Providing a professional, friendly service for homeowners is crucial, as their experience matters to us.
Our office-based team will co-ordinate your appointments, but you'll also be in control of trying to resolve issues over the phone where possible. Working efficiently is an essential part of the role.
We'll supply you with a VW Transporter van and all the equipment you'll need, including an iPad for accessing technical information.
Responsibilities
1. Visit customers' homes to rectify faults
2. Install late extras and alterations to circuits within occupied homes
3. Provide full reports for each completed job, detailing any corrective actions taken
4. Complete quality audit reports where required
Requirements
1. NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation
2. AM2
3. City & Guilds 2382 (relevant 17th Edition or 18th Edition) and 2391 or 2395 (desirable)
4. JIB Gold card
5. Excellent people and communication skills
6. Calm and logical approach to fault-finding
7. Ability to carry out repairs to hidden wiring and install additional cables, with the minimum of disturbance
8. Organisational skills
9. Full UK manual driving licence
10. Candidates must have experience of domestic electrical work
11. Experience of heating systems, TV Satellite, Alarms, MVHR, MEV, ventilation systems and door entry would be advantageous; however, full training will be provided
