Electrical Maintenance Manager | Sheffield | Full Time | Salary - competitive dependant on experience
Our client is the UK's leading forge master in the oil & gas industry and has recently acquired accreditations for the Nuclear and Aerospace industries. With 40 years of experience in forging, they are specialists in creating bespoke products using open die methods.
They currently have an opportunity for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Manager who will be responsible for managing all aspects of the day-to-day running of the Electrical Maintenance team.
What will your role look like?
1. Manage the Electrical Maintenance department who are responsible for the installation, repairs and preventative maintenance of plant and equipment to a high level.
2. Report to Senior Management any Maintenance issues across the premises, including inadequate or non-operational machinery and proactively sought effective and timely resolution.
3. Ensure effective communication with all relevant personnel and departments, and maintain good working relationships.
4. Timely and meaningful management reporting to Senior Management.
5. Proactive in thoroughly managing required maintenance and site development projects to completion.
6. Identify, develop and implement operational improvements.
7. Purchasing as required for the department, ensuring the best price is obtained at all times, and required approvals sought.
8. Work together with other departments to ensure company targets and objectives are met.
9. Ensure all departmental work meets expectations on delivery and quality.
10. Develop individuals within the team ensuring succession and appropriate cover for all the team's absences.
11. Full management of Contractors to the site, including all relevant paperwork.
12. To continually gain more knowledge and skills in Electrical Maintenance and development of management skills thus improving proficiency in the role and be willing to undergo further training as required.
13. Ensure work is carried out within Health & Safety and Quality Procedure protocols.

1. Worked within an industrial environment within an electrical discipline.
2. A relevant and recognised time served apprenticeship.
3. Excellent and proven Leadership and Management experience.
4. Good communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships at all levels.
5. Proactive with a can-do attitude.
6. Organised with a keen eye for detail.
7. Commercially aware.
8. Knowledge and application of safe working practices.
9. Knowledge and experience of Quality Systems and procedures.
10. Good level of education particularly numeracy and literacy skills.
11. Proficient IT skills, particularly in Word, Excel and Outlook.
