About the Role:
As a PE Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering exciting PE lessons across Key Stages, inspiring students to get active and develop their sporting abilities. You'll promote fitness, teamwork, and a healthy lifestyle while supporting students’ personal and social growth.
Key Responsibilities of a PE Teacher:
Plan and deliver dynamic PE lessons for students of all abilities.
Promote teamwork, discipline, and resilience through sports and physical activity.
Organise and supervise extracurricular sporting events and competitions.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports students’ physical and mental well-being.
Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to encourage improvement.
Ensure a safe and engaging environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Work collaboratively with colleagues and parents to enhance student development and engagement.
Requirements to be a PE Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Experience teaching PE across Key Stages, with a solid understanding of the national curriculum for PE.
A genuine passion for promoting physical health and well-being among students.
Strong organisational skills for coordinating sporting events and extracurricular activities.
Excellent communication skills to motivate and inspire students.
Up-to-date knowledge of health, fitness, and safety standards in PE.
An updated CV with two relevant references from the last two years (covering the last ten years with no unexplained gaps).
An enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
