Job Overview
As Head of Clinical Information Systems (Development) you will be responsible for the delivery of:
* Clinical System Development, including the Trust Integration Engine (TIE)
* Software Testing
* Digital Learning Content
In this role, you will be part of the senior leadership team within the Clinical Systems Team in the Division of IM&T. This role is crucial in supporting both the ongoing maintenance and support of the trust clinical systems applications, but also in the delivery of the ongoing digital transformation programme.
Main Duties of the Job
The Head of Clinical Information Systems will be the Trust’s Lead for ensuring that all clinical systems are properly developed, maintained and released in accordance with national, corporate and project directives.
* Hold overall responsibility for all clinical systems. They will be required to plan, direct, manage and oversee the activities and operations related to IM&T clinical system deployments, upgrades and enhancements across the Trust’s clinical service areas.
* Lead on all clinical systems and will provide expert professional advice on system development matters to other IM&T colleagues, as well as a wider clinical audience.
* Create and maintain a strong working relationship with all key stakeholders including, Deputy Directors, General Managers, Heads of Nursing and other senior staff and Clinicians within the organisation.
* To re-design the process of Systems resource which will support the successful delivery of the IM&T annual plan.
* Develop a Service Improvement Strategy and implement an operating model driven by KPI’s and business requirements.
