Overview
A new position has become available for a Shipping and Logistics Coordinator with our client, a highly successful company. The Shipping and Logistics Coordinator will be looking after the shipping and despatching of stock from overseas suppliers to retailers in the UK.
Responsibilities
1. Being the first port of contact for Suppliers, Customers, Carriers, Warehouse, and Merchandiser for Shipping, Customs, and Despatch queries.
2. Organising any late deliveries or early stock by liaising with the merchandisers.
3. Chasing packing lists and invoices from suppliers.
4. Ensuring all incoming shipments are as scheduled by liaising with freight forwarders.
5. Liaising with Carriers and signing off carrier invoices for delivery to Customers.
6. Customer invoicing for dispatched goods, creating customer order reports, and liaising with carriers to ensure a smooth delivery process to customers.
7. Arranging outgoing deliveries to the warehouse.
Qualifications
The Shipping and Logistics Coordinator must demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and approachability for both internal and external communication, alongside excellent organisational skills in a fast-paced environment. The candidate must also possess strong IT skills, particularly in Excel.
This position is suitable for someone who views themselves as a people-person with good communication skills, and who may aspire to a career in Account Management, Product Management, or Logistics.
This position can be considered on a full-time and part-time basis.
