Duties & Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL
1. Carry out maintenance, (mobilization, demobilization, periodic and in-storage) and refurbishment activities on company and customer owned equipment.
2. Ensure that all work is performed to conform to company operating and maintenance standards and in accordance with all current legislation.
3. Update equipment maintenance systems to record details of all repairs and maintenance of company owned equipment.
4. Assist with preparation and mobilization of ROV systems and/or associated tooling packages.
5. Participate in daily toolbox talks for workshop group.
6. Participate in observation system and conduct STOP audits on a regular basis.
7. Participate in safety training courses and initiatives.
8. Ensure that all tasks are performed using correct procedures.
9. Ensure compliance with HSE requirements prior to starting and during operations i.e. COSHH, HAVS, PUWER and LOLER.
10. Participate in creation of Risk Assessments and JSEA.
11. Participate in QHSE initiatives such as continuous improvement implementation and monitoring.
12. Adopt and promote 6S and lean principles.
13. Assist with any other duties as and when required.
NON-ESSENTIAL
1. Participate in the company competence scheme to allow progression through company career framework.
2. If required, travel overseas and to offshore locations to provide onsite technical support.
3. If required, attend project kick-off meetings to provide technical support.
Qualifications
REQUIRED
1. City Guilds, SVQ level 3 in Mechanical or Hydraulic Engineering.
2. Working knowledge of subsea equipment, including, but not limited to ROV systems, IWOCS, Workover Systems and Tooling packages.
3. Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
4. Demonstratable awareness of 6S and lean principles.
5. Extensive experience of "working with pressure" i.e. pressure testing, (hydro and pneumatic)/ function testing.
6. Working at heights experience.
7. Overhead crane certification.
DESIRED
1. HNC/HND in Mechanical or Hydraulic Engineering.
2. City and Guilds- Pressure Testing SCQF Level 6.
3. Knowledge of subsea XT controls and operations.
4. Knowledge of Manifold, Umbilical and Subsea XT installation operations.
5. 6S Champion.
6. Forklift Truck certification.
