Shrewsbury seeks to appoint a full-time teacher of History to teach at all levels in the School in a successful, supportive and collaborative Faculty. The post would be ideal for someone new to the profession looking to gain initial experience, key skills and knowledge in one of the country’s leading boarding schools or for an experienced qualified teacher.
The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to teach A Level Government and Politics and should be willing to participate in the School’s thriving pastoral and co-curricular programmes.
History at Shrewsbury has a reputation for excellence and is among the most popular subjects in the School. Public Examination results are excellent, and many pupils continue their historical and political learning beyond school, enrolling at the world’s best universities, including Oxford and Cambridge, in degree courses such as History, Politics, PPE, Liberal Arts, and International Relations.
