This part-time role offers a unique opportunity to support students aged 11 to 16 with SEN, SEMH, and Alternative Provision needs. The school provides a nurturing environment where students are encouraged to build confidence, develop resilience, and gain essential life skills.
A Supportive and Inclusive Environment
This school is committed to offering an individualised approach to education. With small class sizes and a focus on both academic and personal development, students receive tailored support to help them overcome challenges. The school values emotional well-being as much as academic progress, ensuring that every student feels safe, valued, and supported. Staff work together to create a structured, engaging, and positive environment where young people can thrive.
Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with students, providing one-to-one and small-group support to help them engage with their learning. You will assist in managing classroom activities and ensuring a calm and structured learning environment. Supporting students with behaviour management strategies and emotional well-being will be a key part of your role. You will work alongside teachers to adapt learning materials to meet individual needs and encourage students to develop independence, confidence, and social skills.
What We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will have a patient, caring, and resilient approach to supporting young people. While previous experience in education or a support role is beneficial, it is not essential. A passion for inclusive education and a commitment to helping students with additional needs succeed is essential. Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a dedicated team are also key qualities for this role.
Why Join Us?
