Description Wood is recruiting for a Subsea Engineer – Life of Field, to join the team focusing on subsea projects within our Technical Consulting Division on a contract basis. The Role In this role, you will coordinate tooling and services between SPS supplier (XT) and Wells. Oversee internal tooling and services including procurement and manufacturing and manage new technology qualification for all-electric tree design. You’ll ensure effective cross-discipline coordination, manage project-specific materials and spares, and provide regular supplier performance feedback. Typical Responsibilities Manage and coordinate tooling & services between SPS supplier (XT) and Wells (wellhead system & tubing hanger installation, drilling riser system) Provide assurance and oversight of internal tooling and services in support of project delivery and installation Including procurement and manufacturing. Oversee potential new technology qualification for tooling related to all-electric tree design Provides cross-discipline coordination to ensure that work is carried out effectively and efficiently. Identifies and leads coordination of key interfaces to ensure smooth project execution Manage all materials that are either project specific fixtures, spares, operational spares, etc thru the Material Mastering Process and/or disposition process Providing supplier performance feedback at regular pre-defined intervals Qualifications You may read these details and are potentially thinking about not applying due to not having every single skill, knowledge or experience listed, and that’s understandable. Expected: Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, preferably in mechanical, electrical or subsea engineering Extensive experience in subsea engineering within the oil and gas industry Strong knowledge of subsea engineering principles, subsea systems, and relevant industry codes and standards (e.g., API, ISO) Proficiency in using subsea engineering software tools, such as subsea design and analysis software Demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, prioritise tasks, and deliver results within deadlines and budget constraints Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, stakeholders, and contractors Strong problem-solving abilities, with a focus on finding innovative and practical solutions to complex subsea engineering challenges Sound understanding of HSE regulations and a commitment to promoting a safe working environment Desirable: Chartered engineer status preferred
