Where will you be working? M Group Rail and Aviation Our Rail team manages a wide range of specialist rail engineering works and projects delivering civils, track, power, electrical solutions and station structures across all rail routes in the UK. Want to come and be a part of it? What will you be doing? Manage on-site works, keeping them on track with commercial goals. Ensure all work complies with specifications and standards. Assist Project Managers with documentation, risk assessments, and SHEQ plans. Lead daily briefings and keep everyone informed. Oversee and coordinate teams, including subcontractors. Keep track of project budgets and costs. Support your team by ensuring they have the resources and tools they need. Troubleshoot and resolve issues to avoid delays. Ensure all inspections and tests are completed correctly. Manage procurement schedules and material orders. Work closely with the team to ensure resources are well-managed. Maintain a safe work environment with regular safety checks. Take charge of temporary works and excavation safety on-site. What You’ll Bring A formal qualification in Civil Engineering or equivalent (preferred). Experience working on civil engineering projects. Strong communication skills for working with clients, third parties, and the site team. A recognized site safety management course and a CSCS Managers card. Knowledge of NEC contract conditions, CDM regulations, and Design Management. Experience managing budgets, costs, and risk. A commitment to safety, quality, and environmental protection. Problem-solving skills and the ability to challenge designs where necessary. A drive for personal growth and continuous improvement. What’s in it for you?
